Always Here If You Need Me Blog Award

Sweet Briana awarded me once again with a brand new award of her own making.

I have to say that I love it, as it seems that another person has seen something I usually try to do for friends!

I can say my character isn’t the best of the world but at least I always try to be loyal and true to my friends.

I’m not questioning here the reliability of the net, but I have the feeling that a few blogger I found this time since I’ve started blogging again are brilliant and they are potential very, very good friends.

So here we are! Thanks Briana for your award!

Here is the description and the rules of the award:

This blog award is for those bloggers out there who are especially caring and loyal to their friends. This award is to thank you for being there with me, through good times and bad. And for going above and beyond the call of duty to cheer me up when I was low.

Post a picture of the award somewhere on your blog.
List five things that make you happy.
Choose 5 people to nominate who have been a virtual shoulder to cry on, checked in on you when they knew things were rough, or has always been there for you.
Comment on their blogs to thank them and let them know you nominated you.

Things that make me happy:
1. Watching my child doing basically everything.
2.  Going on holiday with my partner.
3. Reading a good book, even better after coming out of a savage looting into a book store!
4. Planning, plotting, writing and creating something.
5. Stay with my friends or even manage to talk to them by phone.

My nominees:

(I’m going to be tight on here because I think this award has a meaning)

1 Briana

2. Kevin

3. Joe

Other blog awards! Thanks!

One of the signs that you’re going slow is when you check how many posts you have to catch up with!

I don’t post constantly, I know but it’s not for lack of ideas or prompts but because I’m very busy and even more tired.

One of the things I was greatly behind was thanking and accepting formally the awards given to me, and as today I received another one, I decided that it was time!

So without waiting more, here they are:

Semper Fidelis Award

First of all I want to thank Briana for the Semper Fidelis Award. Semper Fidelis is Latin for Always loyal! It is maybe the award I feel more, because I highly value loyalty. I’ve never betrayed anybody either friend or family or even any other acquaintance. It’s not my nature and receiving an award made me proud.

Now here is the rules:

  • § Add the Semper Fidelis Award logo somewhere on your blog.
§ Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog.
§ Nominate 5 bloggers who’s loyalty and friendship you value and you consider being part of your ‘pack of wolves’ on WordPress.
§ Post something special for each one of your nominees and dedicate it to them. This can be a quote, saying, poem, picture, anything you think that would fit that person.
§ Let the nominees know that you’ve nominated them.

So here are my five members of the pack and I’m going to dedicate to them a picture of food I love! Food is important to me, I probably already said that, because cooking for someone is equal to take care of this person and tell him or her they’re important!

Sorry but I have to give you back my little wolf! And when I think of you I could cook for you this:

You’re a very nice person and it’s good to encourage each other, so for you I’d cook this:

For you of course I’d cook this, because they’re a surprise, like you:

I’d prepare this as it’s funny to make and very sweet:

Because as I feel often on the same wave I could cook for you this:

Versatile Blogger Award

It was given to me by Linda, a person most of the time I feel close to! It might be the parenthood or not only, so I’m particularly happy to accept this award! Thanks!

Here is the rules:

1. Add The Versatile Blogger award photo on a blog post

2. Thank the person (or mythical being) who presented you with the award and link back to him or her in your post

3. Share seven things about yourself

4. Pass the award along to 15 favourite bloggers. Contact the chosen bloggers to let them know about the award.

Ok, about myself, what could I tell you?

  1. I never have the right answer at the right time! This is something that infuriates me.
  2. While I’m having a walk around, I love twisting people and situation I encounter into some fictional character.
  3. I usually sign on my notebook the names I like most among the thousands of customers I see every year. Some of them are perfect for fantasy novels! And I’m convinced now that Dutch and German surnames in particular are perfect for the villains.
  4. I love dogs and when I was young I wanted to grow up fast and be rich in order to have a huge house to fill with abandoned dogs.
  5. First time I wrote something I was 8 and it was the beginning of a book about an archaeologist. Then my hopes were destroyed and I stopped for a too long period of time.
  6. The instrument I love most is the drum. Maybe is not something I do on purpose but I end up in being friend with drummers, even if I don’t know they play drums in the beginning.
  7. I love this man, he’s a real artist and I would like you can appreciate his work. Give it a go!

So now I’m supposed to pass the award to 15 bloggers, but I have less, because I don’t like to choose randomly my nominee, so here we are:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are my fellow wolves I nominated above.

And last but not least other two awards passed on by Briana!

I agree with her that these shouldn’t be stopped, so I’m going to paste and copy the original message and I invite my followers and readers to accept them and pass them on!

Thanks so much for your kindness in following me and taking time to read my blog and my posts. It means a lot to me!

And here we are made this award, can you all please say this when blogging this to your followers? The woman deserves the praise!!!

This award was given to me with this message:

Awards are nice – they are the equivalent of Girl’s Night Out or a Night with the Guys where you compliment each other, share juicy tidbits about yourself and then inform the group of what amazing find you came across last week.

However, for a variety of reasons there are those who choose not to accept or pass on awards. For those who like the idea of having an award or two on their site, but aren’t up to the work involved or feel like they’ll somehow betray those they follow by narrowing a list down to just 10 – here’s two awards you are welcome to put on your site if I’ve followed you, Liked one of your posts or left a comment that included the link to this page.

You are also free to bestow these no-strings attached Awards to others as you see fit – these images are free to use as long as you and others don’t pretend they are your own. If you wish to link back here, Fantabulous – but not required.

This award is for everyone who follows me, please accept both awards. I can’t type every one of you, so PLEASE, Take and accept these two awards

Thank you again for this award, and please, all of you take these awards

Blog on the go! and Shine on award

Yesterday I worked my ten hours shifts and after that, I reached home aware that during the weekend I had seen almost ten thousand people! This should give you an idea of how tired I was!

Once at home, of course there was the dinner to put on the table, and I gladly did it.

I decided than to sleep once the baby closed her eyes, but my partner, maybe full of adrenaline after a whole day spent with baby Maya “the Quiet” decided to talk to me and tickling my side, just in case, exactly when I was almost in the deepest phase of the sleep.

Needless to say that I couldn’t sleep anymore.

After a while my partner settled down and fell like a log! And guess who did wake up!? Yes, you got it right! Maya “the very Quiet”!!!

To make the long story short I managed to drag myself into the bed at 3.30 a.m. and the only thing I remember was the alarm sound which went off four hours later!

I felt my body so heavy, but so heavy that I thought I could never leave the bed. It took me more than 40 minutes to stand up and have a shower. Unreal, I know, and I started worry.

It was more or less like my brain was barely awake and was trying to drag my body around, with the only problem that the latter was fast asleep!

Hence the resolution: I’ll never get involved with the mob, feeling your body heavy like cement isn’t a nice experience!

And hence the question as well: how is possible for you parents out there to write after children are off to bed? How do you cope with the day after? Is it just me or what?

Answers in the comments would be highly appreciated!

And so you can understand my joy when I found this in my email box this morning! At least when I managed to drag myself to the computer and open my eyes…or was it all the way around!?

Anyway, thanks Briana, you’re so sweet!

Here you have my new award!

Last two lines before I try to survive the day!

First of all I want to thank Christina, my beta reader, who managed to chat with me answering my insane writing questions in the middle of the night!

Secondly if you really want to know, my body is waking up so I feel a bit better although my eyes are still puffy!

Very Inspiring Blogger Award

I was already in bed when I received the notification for this award and I thought that I might have dreamed about it.

But this morning when I got up…actually for the second time (Maya decided to kick me out of bed at 5.30 but then my partner sent me up for another couple of hours) and I checked the email I realized that what I read was true.

And thanks to Lashell for the award.

Actually for some reason I keep feeling awkward and embarrassed, because I’m not sure I deserve these awards, but as people keeps giving to me there might be something good I’m doing with this blog, this time.

And here you have the rules I took from Lashell’s blog. Make sure to visit it!

1.) Display the award logo on your blog.

2.) Link back to the person who nominated you.

3.) State 7 things about yourself.

4.) Nominate several other bloggers for the award.

5.) Notify those bloggers of the nomination via comments.

I’ll say a few random things about me. I’m thinking I should include all these facts and the others I wrote for the previous award in the “who’s Franny” page.

So here we go:

  1. I live in Ireland which is one of the countries I’ve always wanted to visit since my childhood. The others are Scotland and Japan. I’ve spent one weekend in Edinburgh but I’m thinking to go back and visit more. And I hope against hope to be able to visit Japan one day.
  2. I suck in planning (I think I’ll do a post about that) and every time I jot down a list or something alike I get nervous because I cannot check anything at all.
  3. I’m a big time waster, as I realize little by little every day. I always tell myself that tomorrow I’ll be better but it’s just a sailor’s promise.
  4. I believe in ghosts and something supernatural exists but I don’t believe in gods…any of them. It might be a reaction to the bigotry I had at home. But mostly the majority of the things they say don’t make any sense to me. I respect Shinto because it worships the nature and the elements mainly and it’s more on my same wave.
  5. I love pistachio and hazelnut combo when I have an ice-cream.
  6. I created a fantasy world called Sonrisa and I’ve been working on it for 6 years now, but I cannot see the end. There is so much to do!
  7. I lost my self-confidence when I was 13. If someone sees her can send her home, please, we miss her a lot.

And now I nominated several bloggers for the award.

Now as every blog award means a lot to me, I’m going to give this one to those bloggers who with their words, actions, or way of living their life inspire me and give me courage and strength to go on!

I mean it guys, so here we go:

Thanks guys!

Meanwhile I received from Estrella another blog award! Thank you very much indeed!

So now I’m going to do a unique post!

And here they are the blogs I want to give my award to! Some of you will receive both, but I love your blogs too much!

And with this I’ve given you two posts today! Good!

Tomorrow I will be in work, let’s see if I can manage! My draft area is crowded but I need time!

Liebster Blog Award

Now that I finished the challenge and I am off work I can dedicate a post to my very first award ever!

Considering that I’ve been blogging on and off on several platforms since 2007, this is a milestone!

I was at work that day! I admit that! And I also admit that I peeped on my phone to check what the mail just arrived was about and here it was a comment from sweet Briana who has nominated me for the Liebster Blog Award! I couldn’t believe it and most of all, I had no idea that someone would never give me an award!

I was so happy and shocked and moved at the same time that I almost gave myself away!

I still feel a bit awkward in writing this post!

Thank you so much Briana! You can find her here

Now let’s try to do things properly and first of all I’m going to write the rules for those who are not familiar with this award!

First of all you have to accept the award, post the picture of the Liebster Award on the top of post and say who nominated you for the award and link their blog site. Check!

And now THE RULES!

1. List 11 random facts about you.

2. Nominate 11 other bloggers for the Liebster Award and link their blog sites.

3. Notify the bloggers of their award.

4. Ask the award winners 11 questions to answer when they accept their Liebster Award

Here are some facts about me:

1. I love my child more than my life. However, although at the very beginning I stated that I wanted 3, after having her I say that I’ll think twice about the second!

2. Whenever I go to Italy I try to eat the things I love most like, pizza, sgabei and farinata, until I feel sick! People around look at me all the time like I had a severe eating disorder, but who cares!

3. I love foreign languages, I speak Italian, English, a bit of Spanish and I remember less that I’d love to of Japanese!

4. I created a very personal family for myself and I can say that beside my brother I have another brother and two sisters and I love them very much.

5. I’m an open book and unfortunately you can understand what I think as soon as you study my face…or even if you just look at it. Actually if I can’t stand you, you’ll get it before I open my mouth!

6. I love martial arts, I did karate for 3 years till the brown belt when I was teen ager and it was the best period of my life.

7. I love writing and creating things. It’s a real addiction I have to admit. Thanks goodness is legal!

8. I love pirates, yarrrrr. I’m collecting books about them! And Vampires, trying to collect books about them as well. And just if you were wondering, I started loving Pirates when I was 8 thanks to Sandokan adventures, Pirates of Caribbean came later! And most important I love the classic kind of vampire, the one that explodes or burns to death if under the sun! I felt insulted by the sparkling thing!

9. If I could choose to come back and meet someone from past time it would be Robert Louis Stevenson. He’s my hero and I’d love to talk to him.

10. I love men in kilt. Love them! When Ireland plays against Scotland and my workplace fills with Scots in kilt I’m the happiest staff member.

11. I collect weird earrings. I have a kind of zoo and a necked leprechaun. I think I wouldn’t like to wear earring too normal, I’d feel weird.

And now let’s answer the questions I was asked:

What is your favourite movie? This is hard. I’d say I love all the studio Ghibli’s movies and Braveheart.

What is your favourite book? Even harder! Let’s try to squeeze in “Treasure Island”, “Matilda”, The Harry Potter saga, “Genji Monogatari”.

Do you like sunset or sunrise better? Sunrises, although the colours of both are magic.

Are you a cat person, or a dog person? Definitely dog person. I hate cats. But if I could chose I’d adopt a penguin, they’re the best.

Have you ever eaten any wild game? Yeah, I tried venison, boar and hare, but I don’t like them much, the flavour is too strong.

If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be? I’d try to be braver and I’d go three months in Japan alone for a start.

Do you have someone in your life that is your best friend? Who is it? They’re three, the ones I was talking about before. I call them Nani, Mili and Silvi. I love you so much guys!

Where would you like to go on vacation? Japan! I’d spend there as long as I could!

Are you happy or sad when it rains? I’d say I’m inspired!

What is your favourite food? Oh dear….all the sweet things? And also pasta…any kind? Oh really, this is impossible to answer!

Do you have a hobby? What is it? Yeah I love reading and writing is a hobby as well, right?! Then when I have time I cook and if I could really obtain to have 58 hours long days I’d love to cross stitch!

And now the winners are *drums*:

Now it’s your turn to answer:

1. Do you have a nickname?

2. Who’s your favourite writer?

3. If you could switch life with someone who’d you choose? And why?

4. If you had a time machine where would you go?

5. Pirate or Vampires?

6. Are you a satisfied person or you do you keep working to obtain something?

7. Sweet or savoury?

8. Which is your favourite colour?

9. What’s your favourite animal?

10. Is friendship important for you?

11. Fantasy or sci-fi?

So here it is and I hope you enjoyed it! I’m sure I will, reading your answers!!!

I’ll see you tomorrow.
