Who’s Franny

Hi there!

My name is Francesca but everybody call me Franny! I’m Italian and I live in Dublin with my partner and my daughter!

I work full-time as customer support although I have to admit customer service job isn’t the priority of my life. However, I guess you have to pay your bills in a way or the other, right?!

I’m an aspiring writer, and that is my real dream and priority! I write every time I have a minute free, it doesn’t matter what! My only problem is that I was taking it too seriously and I was forgetting the nice and funny side of it, and this is “inconceivable”, if you let me quote! This is why I opened this blog. You’ll find here the funniest (I hope), the most lunatic and the most human part of me!

Well, since I’ve become a mum, my spare time has been reduced dramatically so my challenge in finding spare time is tougher and tougher as my child gets older!

In the past I received some awards by other bloggers. These awards come with the request of some fun facts from me. I’m going to list them here, because I believe you should know who you’re facing entering the blog!!!!!

I love my child more than my life. However, although at the very beginning I stated that I wanted 3, after having her, I say that I’ll think twice about the second!

Whenever I go to Italy I try to eat the things I love most like, pizza, sgabei and farinata, until I feel sick! People look at me all the time like I had a severe eating disorder, but who cares!

I love foreign languages, I speak Italian, English, Spanish and I remember less that I’d love to of Japanese!

I created a very personal family for myself and I can say that beside my brother I have another brother and two sisters and I love them very much.

I’m an open book and unfortunately you can understand what I think as soon as you study my face…or even if you just look at me. Actually, if I can’t stand you, you’ll get it before I open my mouth!

I love martial arts, I did karate for 3 years till the brown belt when I was teenager and it was the best period of my life.

I love writing and creating things. It’s a real addiction I have to admit. Thanks goodness is legal!

I love pirates, yarrrrr. I’m collecting books about them! If you were wondering, I started loving Pirates when I was 8 thanks to Sandokan adventures books, Pirates of Caribbean came later!

Oh, I love vampires too, trying to collect books about them as well. And most important I love the classic kind of vampire, the one that explodes or burns to death if under the sun! I felt insulted by the sparkling thing!

If I could choose to go back in time and meet someone from past, it would be Robert Louis Stevenson. He’s my hero and I’d love to talk to him.

I love men in kilt. Love them!

I collect weird earrings. I have a kind of zoo and a naked leprechaun. I think I wouldn’t like to wear elegant earring, I’d feel weird.

I live in Ireland, which is one of the countries I’ve always wanted to visit since my childhood. The others are Scotland and Japan. I’ve spent one weekend in Edinburgh but I’m thinking to go back and visit more. And I hope against hope to be able to visit Japan one day.

I suck in planning (I think I’ll do a post about that) and every time I jot down a list or something alike I get nervous because I cannot tick off anything at all.

I’m a big time waster, as I realize little by little every day. I always tell myself that tomorrow I’ll be better but it’s just a sailor’s promise.

I believe in ghosts and something supernatural exists but I don’t believe in gods…any of them. It might be a reaction to the bigotry I had at home. But mostly the majority of the things they say don’t make any sense to me. I respect Shinto because it worships the nature and the elements mainly and it’s more on my same page.

I love pistachio and hazelnut combo when I have an ice-cream.

I created a fantasy world called Sonrisa and I’ve been working on it for 11 years now, but I cannot see the end. There is so much to do!

I lost my self-confidence when I was 13. If someone sees her can send her home, please? We miss her a lot!

I never have the right answer at the right time! This is something that infuriates me.

While out of the house and during commuting and strolls, I love twisting people and situation I encounter into some fictional character.

I usually sign on my notebook the names I like most among the thousands of customers I see every year. Some of them are perfect for fantasy novels! And I’m convinced now that Dutch and German surnames in particular are perfect for the villains.

I love dogs and when I was young I wanted to grow up fast and be rich in order to have a huge house to fill with abandoned dogs.

First time I wrote something I was 8 and it was the beginning of a book about an archaeologist. Then my hopes were destroyed and I stopped for a too long period of time.

The instrument I love most is the drum. Maybe is not something I do on purpose but I end up in being friend with drummers, even if I don’t know they play drums at the beginning.
